Senior Security Engineer

• Implement security tools and processes at all stages of the SDLC, focusing on automation, real-time feedback, and empowering individuals.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the security team, engineering, and Amperity as a whole.
• Build scalable solutions that can take a scrappy startup into the enterprise.
• Improve the efficiency of our security analysts by identifying opportunities for tools and automation.
• Leverage state-of-the-art security tools to analyze our modern and evolving product stack.
• Evangelize Amperity’s security culture using your passion and creativity to develop security champions throughout the company.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams from feature design through launch to influence secure design choices.
• Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability identification.
• Contribute directly to the codebase.
• Have at least 3-5 years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps.
• Have 2-3 years of practical programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, C#, GoLang, etc.
• Have a passion for building security automation and tools.
• Be excited about collaborating with others on large projects.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and how security can be improved at every step.
• Be a self-starter with a Swiss Army Knife of technical skills that you are looking to expand.
• Have a creative and versatile approach to problem-solving with technology.
• Be comfortable tackling complex ambiguous problems and driving towards solutions.
• Have the ability to interact directly with internal customers to understand pain points and iterate on solutions.
• Have experience working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps
• 2-3 years of practical programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, C#, GoLang, etc.
