About the position
The IT Manager role at Amperity is responsible for ensuring the technology needs of the company are met, including providing reliable laptops, secure networks, and efficient systems. This role will have a direct impact on the daily operations and long-term growth of the company. The IT Manager will analyze needs, identify redundancies and vulnerabilities, and make recommendations to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service levels. They will also be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, user support, hardware and software inventory, and IT procurement. The ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of technical knowledge and experience in corporate IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Ampers have the technology they need, including reliable laptops, VPN access, secure and efficient networks, and systems
- Coordinate closely with other departments like HR and Finance
- Strengthen the foundation of the Corporate IT function to support growth and expansion
- Automate processes and reduce friction to improve efficiency
- Analyze needs, identify redundancies and vulnerabilities, and make recommendations for seamless integration and optimal use of components
- Stay informed about new features and solutions to increase productivity, efficiency, and customer service levels
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, networks, communication and collaboration systems, laptops, and security tools
- Manage business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Provide user support and manage the help desk function
- Minimize repeat problems by supporting the usage, maintenance, and growth of the IT knowledge base
- Manage IT procurement and payment services
- Collaborate in the budget management process
- Adapt to a growing business and fast-paced environment
- Build a secure and scalable IT environment through efficient processes and automation
- Expand technical knowledge and skillset
- Analyze situations and exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results
- Understand and balance tradeoffs between needs and lead to solutions
- 5-8 years of experience in corporate IT teams
- Experience supporting a Mac environment
- Administrative knowledge of SaaS productivity and collaboration tools (G-Suite, Slack, etc.)
