About The Position

Novartis Oncology-OIT (Oncology Immune Therapies) is seeking a Senior Scientist to contribute to cancer immunology research and the development of therapeutic modalities. The role supports drug screening and target identification and validation, and advances preclinical research intended to bring innovative cancer therapies to patients. The position is onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and relocation assistance is available. The scientist will work with replication-incompetent lentiviruses, mRNA-LNP, cell lines, primary cells, tissues, and preclinical samples. The position involves developing and performing cell-based, flow cytometry, and biochemical assays, with occasional molecular biology work. The scientist will collaborate in a multidisciplinary, matrixed environment, present findings, and contribute to research documents and publications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in immunology, immuno-oncology, oncology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in industry.
  • Knowledge of immunology and expertise in cancer biology and/or immunology.
  • Proficiency in cell culture, including cell lines and primary cells, and multi-color flow cytometry.
  • Ability to quickly learn and work in new areas and implement new techniques and instrumentation.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves
