About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to create a welcoming, energetic retail experience for customers and help them find instruments and equipment suited to their musical interests. The role combines customer service, sales, product expertise, relationship building, merchandising, and store operations. The associate helps achieve sales targets, supports and mentors fellow team members, and serves as a keyholder who may open or close the store as needed. The position is suited to a music enthusiast who enjoys a fast-paced retail environment and can work additional hours, nights, and weekends when needed.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• Proven sales record and ability to exceed sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to work additional hours, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find gear that meets their needs.
• Meet and exceed sales targets by recommending related instruments and accessories through upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products and help improve the product knowledge of other associates.
• Build customer relationships and support fellow associates in developing relationships with customers and the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
