About The Position

The Senior Sales Associate consistently achieves individual sales goals in support of the store’s sales and profit objectives, provides superior customer service, and takes on additional senior-level responsibilities within the store. The role promotes Music & Arts’ lesson program, builds business through community networking, develops customer relationships, and supports store operations. The position pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour plus commission, depending on location, background, and experience. Music & Arts offers musician employees gig leave, as well as benefits and perks including a 401(k) with company match and an employee discount program. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise. The company operates more than 200 retail stores, 120 educational representatives, and 300 affiliate locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of relevant work experience.
Skilled knowledge of musical instruments and written music.

Responsibilities

Generate sales to exceed personal sales goals.
Promote the Music & Arts lesson program.
Create business by networking with teachers, schools, churches, and community organizations.
Develop customer relationships and provide compelling sales presentations based on sales training.
Demonstrate outstanding customer service to every customer.
Promote customer loyalty.
Participate in store operations, including merchandising, displays, and maintenance.
Maintain store security, including perimeter door keys, register keys, and a personal alarm code.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
