About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Senior Sales Associate to create a welcoming retail experience and help customers explore their musical interests. The role combines sales, product knowledge, relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and team leadership. The Senior Sales Associate helps customers choose instruments and accessories, supports fellow Associates, and contributes to a collaborative store environment. As a keyholding team member, this position may be responsible for opening and closing the store as needed. The role may require additional hours and work on nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of a variety of instruments and products.
• Proven track record in sales and ability to exceed targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and inspire others to achieve goals.
• Flexibility to work additional hours if needed and nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find gear suited to their musical interests.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues’ product knowledge.
• Build strong customer relationships and help Associates develop relationships within the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
