Senior ROI Representative - Health Information Management
About The Position
The Senior ROI Representative applies federal, state, and Swedish Medical Center regulations and policies when releasing appropriate protected health information documents. The role logs and validates authorizations from patients, insurance companies, subpoenas, court orders, and other legal requests. It partners with the Release of Information Coordinator or ROI Specialist I to ensure legal timelines are met and assists customers by phone or in person. The position is with Swedish Shared Services at Providence Swedish, an organization focused on patient-focused, whole-person care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Health Information Technology (HIT) program; candidates within three months of graduation may be considered if they provide proof of successful completion to Swedish upon graduation.
- Complete a college-level, for-credit medical terminology course within six months of the position start date, or provide proof of prior course completion.
- Successfully complete Epic desktop training within the first 90 days of starting in the position.
- Upon hire, hold either the National Registered Health Information Administrator credential from the American Health Information Management Association or the National Registered Health Information Technician credential from the American Health Information Management Association.
- Two years of relevant experience in an acute care hospital setting or a multiple-doctor clinic. Graduates of an accredited Health Information Technology program may count as equivalent to one year of experience.
