  • Well-established, independent experience with rodent in vivo dosing and handling techniques with expertise in multiple routes of substance administration (e.g., PO, IP, IV, SC) and ability to efficiently execute study protocols involving multiple blood collection time points.
  • Experience in tissue dissection and preparation for RNA, protein analysis, and histology, including fixation and embedding.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute or learn various molecular and cell biology techniques, such as ELISA, Western blot, qPCR, cell-based functional assays, and flow cytometry.
  • Proficiency with software such as Excel, GraphPad Prism, and PowerPoint for experimental documentation and data analysis/presentation.

  • Experience in flow cytometry and data analysis (e.g., FlowJo) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vivo (mouse) studies to characterize and assess the function, pharmacokinetics, and biodistribution of SynteinsTM, with increasing ownership of study design and interpretation.
  • Perform hands-on dosing of mice (including intravenous and other routes) and isolation/processing of mouse blood and tissues.
  • Comply with IACUC regulations regarding animal welfare and care.
  • Collect and prepare tissues for histology, including fixation and embedding.
  • Execute and optimize lab procedures such as tissue lysis and cell isolation, ELISA, Western blot, RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, and related cell/molecular biology assays supporting in vivo studies, including some cell culture.
  • Coordinate with CROs to support the execution of external in vivo studies, including formulation and shipment of compounds.
  • Analyze, interpret, and accurately document study and assay results in an electronic lab notebook and present findings in internal meetings.
