Senior QMS Engineer
About The Position
As a Senior Quality Management Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will help ensure high standards of quality for products and processes by developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement. The role leads the internal quality auditing program for the Lansdale site, conducting audits in accordance with the quality management system and AS9100 requirements. It also offers the opportunity to strengthen and improve the site's internal audit schedule to reduce external audit findings. The position is based onsite in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and reports to the Senior Quality Engineer Supervisor. The role contributes to regulatory compliance, product quality, and customer satisfaction. People leadership responsibilities include recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, supporting retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- At least 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent regulated industry.
- Experience conducting or hosting audits in an ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent regulated industry.
- Proficiency in leading and performing RCCA for internal and external corrective action requests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Comfort communicating with external parties.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws and regulations and currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No work visa sponsorship is available.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience managing ESD or FOD programs.
- Experience conducting or hosting AS9100 QMS audits.
- Previous experience working for a government contractor aerospace company.
- Proficiency with TipQA software.
- Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
Responsibilities
- Lead the internal quality auditing program for the Honeywell Aerospace Lansdale site.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with the quality management system and AS9100 requirements.
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for internal and external corrective action requests.
- Recruit talent, identify and develop successors, support retention and engagement, and foster an inclusive culture.
