About The Position

Knutson Construction is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role oversees construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout, ensuring safety, quality, client satisfaction, and effective cost and schedule management. The Senior Project Manager leads project teams, manages stakeholder relationships, supports client pursuits, and promotes Knutson’s Zero Incident safety culture and operating procedures. The position also involves developing professional networks, participating in community and industry events, managing self-perform trade scopes, and providing feedback and performance input for Operations employees assigned to projects.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10 to 15 years of responsibility for the total execution of large healthcare construction projects.
Experience managing and collaborating with Superintendents, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Support staff.

Responsibilities

Motivate and lead effective teams, providing oversight and direction to project teams.
Promote Knutson’s Zero Incident safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and Knutson employees.
Oversee preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
Develop and implement the construction schedule with the project team.
Collaborate with estimating and marketing during preconstruction and project pursuits.
Manage project cost administration.
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly project team meeting reporting.
Schedule and conduct internal and external project meetings in coordination with project teams.
Oversee the project team’s procurement process.
Lead and manage project-specific QA/QC plans.
Independently lead project pursuits with the pursuit and Business Development teams.
Initiate, grow, and use professional networks, and participate in community and industry events to promote Knutson Construction.
Manage self-perform scopes such as demolition, carpentry, concrete, and masonry.
Review the performance of Operations employees on assigned projects and collaborate with the Director of Operations and General Manager on staffing, development, and evaluations.
Provide ongoing positive and constructive feedback to Operations team members on assigned projects.
Lead project teams in delivering “The Knutson Experience” while following company standard operating procedures.
Participate in and complete scheduled and as-needed safety training.
