About The Position

The Senior Project Manager (EPMO) plans, manages, and delivers distinct projects through all phases, aligned with business and enterprise strategies. The role provides leadership, direction, and coaching to teams while partnering with business and executive stakeholders within one or more Lines of Business. The position is in the credit card space; credit card experience is ideal, and experience managing a POD would be helpful. The role handles projects with moderate to high regulatory oversight and moderately high to high risk profiles, typically leading Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 projects and potentially Tier 1 projects. Projects may involve indirectly managing cross-Line-of-Business teams of Business Analysts, Business SMEs, and Technology Resources. The manager may oversee multiple medium- to long-term projects concurrently.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree.
Project Management Certification required.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices, procedures, and principles.
Exposure to financial management, including tracking, forecasting, and managing project budgets.
Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong facilitation skills.
Ability to attract top talent and support team skills development.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
Ability to stay focused under pressure and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to cope with rapid change.

Nice To Haves

Experience with credit cards is ideal.
Experience managing a POD would be extremely helpful.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and deliver projects through all phases in alignment with business and enterprise strategies.
Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to project teams.

Lead delivery of Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 projects, and potentially Tier 1 projects.
Indirectly manage cross-Line-of-Business project teams, including Business Analysts, Business SMEs, and Technology Resources, where applicable.
Manage project financials, including tracking, forecasting, and managing budgets.
Guide cross-functional teams through complex change from concept to execution.
Build cohesive teams, develop team skills, and foster a positive work environment.
Use judgment to determine which issues to escalate and which to resolve independently, providing suggestions for resolution.
