The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects or programs with multiple integrated projects including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
  • All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with NR, NNL project offices, and major suppliers.
  • Experience with the NNL business cycle including the PSB process, confirmation and TWP processes.
  • Experience with oversight of shipyard work
  • Experience with SOF coordination
  • Experience with NNL Financial Systems processes such as charge code management, deliverable creation, and DCR submittals

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining the Carrier and Fleet Programs Team infrastructure
  • Obtaining necessary resources to staff and support the Program
  • Defining Program scope and work breakdown structure
  • Evaluating change requests and approving or rejecting as appropriate
  • Managing overall costs versus budget
  • Managing subcontracted relationships
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Interfacing with and integrating the efforts of stakeholders, support personnel and line management to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Oversight of Carrier and Fleet Programs planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Source of Fund management, Financial Process management, monitoring and oversight of Newport News Propulsion and Reactor Engineering Planning Yard financial performance.
