About The Position

The Town of Leesburg is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Department of Community Development – Engineering Division. This role involves first-line supervision of a team, complex professional work on engineering, analytical, and research duties related to land development applications. The primary focus is the timely review of plans, plats, and other applications for adherence to engineering design and construction standards. The position also supports the Deputy Director – Engineering, various Town departments, outside review agencies, architects, engineers, and the general public on the Town’s overall land development and subdivision process. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying, or a related field.
Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in civil engineering work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two (2) to three (3) years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Current Virginia PE License (or ability to obtain in one year).

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying, or a related field.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Valid Virginia Stormwater Combined Administrator Certification (or ability to obtain in one year).
Valid FEMA Certified Floodplain Administrator Certification (or ability to obtain in one year).
