About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project management, from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations. You will lead project teams, ensure quality control, manage risks, and maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate work in active environments is crucial.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in Procore and Scheduling Software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously when necessary.
  • Adept at coordinating work in active environments that remain operational during construction.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Familiarity with pre-construction, scope development and cost estimating.
  • Prior experience managing construction projects on active military bases or other Department of Defense installations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction projects.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within agreed-upon limits.
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Approve and process invoices and change orders.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and site workers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee all construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Address and resolve any unforeseen challenges promptly.
