About The Position

Starbucks is seeking a senior project manager for Marketing Operations to contribute to the company's success by partnering with the Global Marketing Org and other assigned businesses to support program management. This role is part of the team responsible for North America retail marketing and product execution, overseeing projects from planning through delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, the ability to drive projects to completion through cross-functional collaboration, and a strategic mindset with problem-solving capabilities. They should be a confident, logical, and collaborative team member who understands the importance of strong partnerships across teams.

  • 7+ years of experience establishing cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business partners, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex program and project efforts to completion.
  • Project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources, and communications.
  • 7+ years of experience managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects.
  • 7+ years of experience gathering and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary project management contact for highly complex and visible seasonal and product marketing campaign work.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage programs or projects aimed at improving operational capability from planning to execution.
  • Manage and monitor project or program schedules and progress to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of expected results.
  • Anticipate and mitigate challenges, and escalate risks when necessary to gain alignment on the best path forward.
  • Influence processes for improving business planning, cross-functional communication, work integration, and teamwork between partners from cross-functional departments to achieve KPIs.
  • Apply experience in managing relationships in a highly matrixed organization to successfully brief and guide work through the strategic, creative development, and delivery process.
  • Leverage marketing knowledge and capabilities to consult Starbucks business partners on requirements, strategies, and opportunities for innovation across Starbucks paid/owned/earned channels.
  • Facilitate successful marketing kickoffs to ensure creative teams receive comprehensive briefings for efficient work initiation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to track success metrics and program performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and integrate learnings into future initiatives.
  • Lead projects through ambiguity, rolling up sleeves to pave a way forward when next steps are not always clear.
