About The Position

The Senior Project Manager, Gene Editing leads complex client programs focused on GMP guide RNA (gRNA) manufacturing and related gene-editing products. The role serves as the primary client contact and is accountable for cross-functional execution from project initiation through manufacturing, release, and project closure. The position is based onsite in Coralville, Iowa, and reports into the Project Management team. It may include up to 15% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
Experience managing client-facing projects.
Understanding of GMP product manufacturing capabilities from initiation through release.

Nice To Haves

Master’s or PhD degree preferred.
Prefer 8+ years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CDMO industry, including significant project management experience and a technical background in product development, manufacturing, quality, or related scientific disciplines.
Experience in a regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical field or CDMO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client contact for gene-editing and gRNA manufacturing programs.
Lead project team meetings and governance forums to align on scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk registers, action trackers, and client and internal communications for client programs and site-specific process and capability-building projects.
Manage client expectations while balancing business, quality, and operational requirements.
Identify, manage, and escalate critical risks and issues, driving timely resolution across client programs and site-specific process and capability-building projects.
