About The Position

ms consultants is seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our Water business unit. This role will focus on delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, and stormwater solutions. The position offers flexibility, being available in any ms office or remotely within the Eastern Standard Time Zone. You will collaborate with various ms team members on design projects, contributing to the improvement of communities through clean water initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field.
Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred or obtain within 12 months of hire.
Water/wastewater treatment experience.
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit is preferred.
Experience with processing modeling software is preferred.
Familiarity with federal and state environmental rules and regulations.
Able to work both individually and in a collaborative, matrixed team environment.
Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collect and review data, perform calculations, and prepare contract documents to assist with design.
Assist project team staff with preliminary and final design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.
Assist with the preparation of preliminary engineering design reports or studies.
Work on design projects involving treatment process and hydraulic analysis, equipment selection, and layout for water or wastewater treatment facilities.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
