This role as a Senior Project Coordinator involves setting up and maintaining project administration systems, managing daily activity reports and project documentation, supporting procurement, costing, and estimating, and assisting with scheduling and quality control processes. The role also includes participating in technical reviews, preparing and managing technical submittals, coordinating document control (RFIs, submittals, transmittals, daily reports), maintaining communication with subcontractors for timely cost submissions, and assisting with tracking and managing extra work activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, earthworks, or underground construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction field operations and project progression on-site.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and quality control practices.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors and managing related documentation and communication.
  • Ability to read and understand construction contracts, including extra work scopes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary construction software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, owners, and engineers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel; valid driver’s license required (reliable transportation to site is necessary).

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain project administration systems and processes.
  • Complete and manage daily activity reports and project documentation.
  • Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with procurement, costing, and estimating.
  • Assist with scheduling and quality control processes.
  • Participate in technical reviews, constructability assessments, and conflict identification.
  • Prepare and manage technical submittals.
  • Coordinate and manage document control including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and daily reports.
  • Maintain strong day-to-day communication with subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate cost submissions.
  • Assist with tracking and managing extra work activities, including documentation and authorization.
