About The Position

Microsoft's Washington State & Global Employee Engagement (WSGEE) team operates at the intersection of public policy, philanthropy, and employee engagement. The team is responsible for enhancing the company's long-term trust, credibility, and impact in Washington State, while also promoting employee giving and volunteerism globally. The Global Employee Engagement team is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Infrastructure & Impact to lead the programmatic aspects of the platform that supports employee giving and volunteering. This role involves translating program objectives into platform functionalities, configuring campaigns, defining targeting strategies, setting up matching and volunteer programs, managing fundraising event pages and reporting, and resolving program-related inquiries in collaboration with the operations and systems team. Additionally, the role will focus on advancing how Microsoft measures impact, moving beyond simple metrics to community outcomes, and leveraging data and AI to connect employees with relevant opportunities. Requirements

  • Master's Degree AND 3+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR equivalent experience.
  • Program leadership experience using an employee giving, volunteering, or grants platform, or a CRM, to design and deliver campaigns and programs at a large organization, in partnership with operations and systems teams.
  • Deep understanding of employee giving and matching gift programs, including IRS requirements and international regulations that govern them.
  • 3+ years' experience managing corporate social responsibility (CSR), social impact, or employee engagement programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, and with impact measurement or program evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience leading platform scoping, requirements, or implementation with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience designing operational processes, governance, and decision frameworks for programs at scale in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI and analytics tools for segmentation, personalization, and reporting, and curiosity about how they can extend a small team's reach.
  • Understanding of the employee engagement and corporate philanthropy landscape, including platforms, data standards, and impact measurement practices.
  • Experience participating in employee giving and/or volunteering programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the programmatic owner of Microsoft's employee giving and volunteering platform, defining program needs, shaping priorities and the roadmap, and translating program goals into platform configuration, campaign setup, and employee experience in partnership with the operations and systems team.
  • Continuously optimize the platform, integrate it across the business, and evaluate new technology, including AI, to enhance the experience for employees and nonprofit partners.
  • Define success metrics for participation, outcomes, employee sentiment, and community impact, and develop measurement approaches that focus on community outcomes rather than just activity counts, incorporating third-party validation where beneficial.
  • Drive program data, dashboards, and reporting, making them accessible for business units to utilize.
  • Deliver reporting for campaign and executive updates, and collaborate with the team to translate data and employee insights into actionable recommendations for engagement improvement and future campaign design.
  • Design program requirements, frameworks, and decision trees for recurring tasks such as eligibility, approvals, escalations, and employee giving campaign protocols, ensuring repeatability.
  • Document protocols and maintain the compliance calendar in partnership with program and policy owners.
  • Lead unique programmatic workstreams, such as the employee giving process for disaster relief.
  • Act as the program liaison for all campaigns, from Give Month to custom moments for business groups, regions, and Washington State, standardizing campaign methodology for successful end-to-end execution.
  • Utilize AI and analytics to segment and target employees, ensuring the right opportunities reach the right individuals at the right time, enabling personalization at scale.
  • Support signature fundraising events and employee-created events through platform setup, campaign pages, and necessary reporting.
