About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and effective individual to join finway as a (Senior) Product Manager (m/f/d) to cover parental leave. This is initially a fixed-term position for 2 years, with the potential for permanent employment thereafter. In this role, you will be responsible for operational and strategic product management, acting as the bridge between software development, design, customer success, and marketing to ensure our initiatives are implemented effectively and profitably for our customers.

Requirements

  • Experience: Several years of solid experience as a Product Manager (ideally in B2B SaaS, Fintech, or PayTech).
  • Agile Mindset: Reliable routine in agile methods (Scrum/Kanban), experience in leading sprint ceremonies, and proficiency with Jira/Linear or similar.
  • Business Acumen & Strategic Thinking: Understand the business model behind the product, keep relevant KPIs in view, and justify product decisions with commercial logic and clear customer value.
  • Methodical Product Discovery: Strong ability to systematically validate user needs and market potentials (through customer interviews, data analysis, or prototyping) before development.
  • Understanding of Complex Systems: Ability to translate complex technical concepts (APIs, partner integrations, AI functions) into clear requirements.
  • Strong Interface Competence: Communicate confidently with developers, partners, Customer Success, and C-level stakeholders.
  • Pragmatism & Hands-on Mentality: Comfortable diving deep into specifications, testing scenarios, or resolving support cases.
  • Customer Orientation: Experience in conducting webinars and customer interviews.
  • Languages: Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Agile Team Leadership: Manage the development team ('Team Seal') through daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning and reviews, including demos.
  • Interface with Development: Closely support technical implementations (e.g., in the area of KYB) and coordinate on architecture and technical direction in weekly dev meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Customer Contact: Collaborate closely with Customer Success (enablement, support sparring, ticket escalations) and Product Marketing (features, positioning).
  • Partner & Customer Projects: Conduct workshops and integrations with external partners and accompany customer meetings to gather feedback and solve complex use cases.
  • Sales Support & Webinars: Support sales in enterprise deals and conceptualize/deliver bi-monthly product webinars for customers.
  • Concept & Architecture: Design concrete product solutions (e.g., AI-powered features) and write precise requirement specifications.
  • Backlog & Ticket Management: Prioritize sprints, organize the backlog in close coordination with CS, and prioritize bug fixes.
  • Quality Assurance: Independently test new functionalities and platform components (especially specialized scenarios).
  • Internal & External Release Communication: Create in-app messages (Intercom Series/Tooltips), write release notes including short video tutorials, and inform all stakeholders via Slack.
  • Documentation: Ensure Helpcenter articles are kept up-to-date by CS.
