About The Position

The Security Compete team helps Microsoft Security win by turning competitive evidence into sharper positioning, field guidance, go-to-market choices, and product input across four pillars: Get Ready for AI, Securing AI, Defend with AI, and Securing Data. The team partners with product and engineering so market insight can inform product development as well as messaging, and provides useful insight to leaders and sellers. AI helps the team move at market speed, while experts remain accountable for its conclusions. The role leads competitive intelligence across identity and access management (IAM), identity governance (IGA), identity threat detection and response (ITDR), and Security Service Edge (SSE), including ZTNA, secure web gateway, and CASB. It tracks how platform and specialist vendors are evolving across identity, governance, network access, and securing AI, and translates that insight into recommendations for Microsoft Entra, product decisions, positioning, and sales guidance. The role works with product marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders, drawing on customer conversations, win/loss analysis, field feedback, and market signals. It also develops vendor analyses, technical briefs, and battlecards, and supports priority competitive deals, including evaluations focused on securing AI.
