About The Position

The Security Compete team helps Microsoft Security win by turning competitive evidence into sharper positioning, field guidance, go-to-market choices, and product input. The team works across four pillars: Get Ready for AI, Securing AI, Defend with AI, and Securing Data, partnering with product and engineering so market insight can inform product decisions as well as messaging. This role leads competitive intelligence across identity and network access security, including IAM, identity governance (IGA), ITDR, and Security Service Edge (SSE), such as ZTNA, secure web gateway, and CASB. The position examines how platform and specialist vendors are expanding into securing AI, including governing AI agents and controlling access to AI applications, and translates those developments into recommendations for Microsoft. The role works with Microsoft Entra product marketing and engineering to inform investment, product improvements, and positioning for securing AI agents and AI access. It also creates vendor analyses, technical briefs, and battlecards for sellers, and supports priority competitive deals. Recommendations draw on customer conversations, win/loss analysis, field feedback, market signals, and reproducible evaluation evidence.
