About The Position

CoStar Group is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead positioning and go-to-market strategies for enterprises with large portfolios of physical locations, specifically focusing on the retail, hospitality, and public sectors. This role involves understanding the unique challenges of multi-site operators, developing differentiated market strategies, and driving growth within these key industries. The position requires a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, procurement processes, and the ability to translate market insights into effective product positioning and sales enablement materials. The role is based in Arlington, Virginia, and requires in-office presence Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
  • 6+ years in B2B product marketing, industry marketing, or vertical marketing.
  • At least three years marketing to a defined industry audience rather than to a product category.
  • Direct experience marketing to multi-site retail, restaurant, or franchise enterprises, or to the technology and services those operators buy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positioning from first-hand buyer conversations.
  • Experience marketing into long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles where procurement, security, and finance have a say.
  • A record of producing sales material the field actually used.
  • Funnel literacy: ability to describe how work changed conversion or pipeline with numbers.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Comfort carrying more than one industry at a time, with the discipline to sequence rather than spread thin.
  • Practical AI fluency in personal working process.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to hotels, resorts, venues, or travel and event operators.
  • Public sector marketing experience across federal, state, local, education, or public safety, including familiarity with procurement cycles and contract vehicles.
  • Experience with construction, store development, or rollout programs inside a multi-site enterprise.
  • Familiarity with facilities management or building operations audiences.
  • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience with a direct sales force.
  • Familiarity with 3D capture, imaging, spatial data, or visualization technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for retail and restaurants, travel and hospitality, and government and public sector markets.
  • Develop a differentiated point of view for each industry, grounded in how enterprises with large location portfolios operate.
  • Build retail and restaurants into a consistent, measurable market and drive accountability for its growth.
  • Build and test the travel and hospitality market plan, and report on market feedback.
  • Identify common themes across multi-site operators and develop unified strategies.
  • Sequence the portfolio focus, deciding on priorities for depth and maintenance each quarter.
  • Engage directly with customers and prospects to gather insights and inform positioning.
  • Understand how multi-site enterprises evaluate, pilot, and roll out technology.
  • Learn the public-sector buying process, including procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and approval processes.
  • Track competitors in assigned industries and translate insights into positioning and product feedback.
  • Represent Matterport at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, including industry narratives, discovery guidance, competitive positioning, and customer proof.
  • Create late-stage deal materials such as procurement documentation, security and compliance answers, business cases, and pilot-to-rollout proof.
  • Collaborate with account executives and sales leadership to refine sales materials.
  • Develop customer stories and references for multi-site and public-sector buyers.
  • Support demand generation campaigns with messaging and offers for assigned industries.
  • Own conversion metrics, particularly the movement from engaged buyer to qualified opportunity.
  • Address challenges in the late-stage public sector sales cycle.
  • Report on industry performance, identifying successes and areas for change.
  • Utilize AI in personal workflows for buyer research, competitive monitoring, and content production, and share best practices.
