About The Position

Grafana Labs is seeking an enthusiastic, tech-forward product marketer to grow its Observability products through positioning and campaigns that attract, convert, and retain customers. The Senior Product Marketing Manager owns messaging and positioning for a broad product area and works closely with product managers and the marketing team to deliver campaigns, content, events, and training that help buyers evaluate and adopt products and help sellers communicate their value. Product Marketing sits within Grafana Labs’ Product organization. The role goes beyond executing launches and campaigns: it teaches product managers and engineers how to approach growth and demand, and helps codify product marketing knowledge into AI-forward tools and processes. This includes contributing product information to a shared knowledge base used to generate enablement materials and presentations. The role combines strategic work, teaching, and hands-on execution, including creating blogs, webinar outlines, and video scripts. It suits someone comfortable with significant impact, independence, and a fast-paced, growing organization.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or product management.
  • Experience marketing and selling to a technical audience.
  • Passion for open source, cloud-native, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Ability to take on complex projects and efficiently drive them from start to finish.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the value of technical products to customers and sellers.
  • Experience leading product or feature launches autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to automate messaging and workflows.
  • Comfort working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in complicated processes.
  • Strong product and technical curiosity that translates into clear packaging, positioning, and messaging.
  • Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills for analyzing campaign performance, evaluating lifecycle metrics, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • A high “say-do” ratio in executing and delivering impact.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and teach product managers to define product value, messaging, and go-to-market strategy, including competitive positioning and sales enablement collateral.
  • Work with product management, engineering, and go-to-market functions to create customer evaluation and adoption materials, such as reference architectures, implementation guides, and detailed product information.
  • Own customer lifecycle campaigns—including competitive positioning, retention, and upsell or cross-sell—to shape marketing programs and drive growth throughout the customer journey.
  • Conduct market and customer research to understand pain points, competition, and opportunities.
  • Teach go-to-market and sales teams about product capabilities and value; deliver training and enablement so customer-facing teams can engage effectively with customers, partners, and prospects.

Benefits

  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for all roles.
  • Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum, with 3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days, subject to local legislation.
  • In-person onboarding.
