About The Position

SOVRA is hiring a Senior Product Manager, Platform and AI, for a newly created role supporting AI-native procurement products on a shared platform. The role owns a buyer-side product area spanning request intake, sourcing and solicitation building, evaluation, and contract lifecycle management. It brings AI into buyers’ daily workflows and supports agencies moving from SOVRA’s established platforms to the new platform. The role works closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. Product decisions and releases must meet public-sector expectations for accuracy, accessibility, and accountability. The position includes setting product vision and roadmap, conducting customer discovery, defining and evaluating AI features, supporting delivery and launch, and owning adoption, retention, and commercial performance.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience at a B2B, enterprise, or SaaS company, including taking customer problems from discovery to shipped product.
  • Experience shipping AI features such as agents, copilots, or intelligent document processing, and defining how to evaluate and monitor them in production.
  • Working knowledge of government procurement, including solicitations and RFx, evaluation, award, contracts, and cooperative purchasing, gained at a public agency or a govtech, procurement, or ERP vendor.
  • Hands-on daily use of AI tools to prototype, synthesize research, and draft specifications, with sound judgment about accuracy, data privacy, and public-sector risk.
  • Ability to conduct product discovery and usability testing, work closely with Design, and awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Ability to define metrics, interpret usage analytics, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; the company cannot sponsor work visas or transfers.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in e-procurement, sourcing, or contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting government sales through RFP responses, security questionnaires, demos, and pilots.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery with agency buyers, evaluators, and contract managers; map procurement workflows and identify problems worth solving.
  • Use product usage data, customer interviews, solicitation analysis, win/loss feedback, and market intelligence to prioritize the roadmap and shape product positioning.
  • Write clear, testable product requirements and acceptance criteria, and work with the Product Owner to define and prioritize the backlog.
  • Own the vision, roadmap, and priorities for a buyer-side product area on the new platform, balancing strategic goals, customer commitments, and engineering capacity.
  • Determine where AI acts, assists, or leaves control with a person across buyer workflows; define how AI features are evaluated and monitored in production.
  • Build clickable or coded prototypes using AI-assisted tools, test them with users alongside Design, and use AI in daily work.
  • Address accessibility, data residency and privacy, security review, public procurement law and policy, and ERP and finance integration as product considerations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on launch plans, packaging, pricing, demos, and RFP responses; take releases through operational-readiness gates.
  • Own adoption, retention, and commercial performance for the product area; set launch success metrics and track them in product analytics.
  • Coach junior product managers, product owners, and business analysts.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health and medical coverage.
  • Paid time off.
  • Structured learning and development program.
  • Paid parental leave.
