About The Position

RapidAI is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution of its neurology and brain disease product portfolio. The role will expand the platform beyond stroke into traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative disorders, brain tumors, and third-party integrations for lesion detection. The Product Manager will define clinical AI solutions, author requirements, and guide modules from ideation through regulatory clearance and hospital deployment, ensuring the software delivers actionable triage and diagnostic intelligence. The product team works AI-first, using prototypes and AI tools across discovery, requirements engineering, and workflow validation while maintaining high standards for clinical efficacy and patient safety. The role combines product strategy, clinical workflow research, prototype development, specification writing, regulated medical software delivery, AI efficacy and safety, and cross-functional leadership. It includes regular engagement with clinicians and periodic clinical site visits and team offsites. The position is remote in the United States. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software product management experience and a track record of shipping clinical, digital health, or SaaS products used by professionals in demanding workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, Life Sciences, or a related technical or health field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience or deep domain fluency in neurovascular or neurological diseases, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, tumors, or neurodegeneration, and familiarity with CT, CTA, CTP, and MRI.
  • Demonstrated practice incorporating AI tools into daily work, including requirements drafting, research synthesis, prototyping, and rapid analysis, with strong quality verification.
  • Ability to write precise, testable user stories and engineering specifications that account for complex clinical edge cases, error states, and data schemas.
  • Experience scoping, evaluating, and launching partner integrations, third-party algorithms, or platform APIs using interoperability standards.
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills for explaining complex technical and clinical decisions to clinicians, data scientists, engineers, and executive leaders.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without restriction; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience shipping Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), FDA 510(k) or De Novo submissions, CE-MDR, and working within ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and IEC 62366 design-control standards.
  • Hands-on experience shipping computer vision or deep learning models for lesion segmentation, volumetric assessment, or computer-aided detection.
  • Prior clinical training, clinical research experience, or clinical trial experience in neurology, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, or emergency medicine.
  • Working knowledge of DICOM, PACS/RIS, HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience collaborating with academic medical centers or global research consortia, such as Cambridge or European and US neuro research groups.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the neurology product strategy and roadmap, expanding beyond stroke into traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, neurodegenerative conditions, and multi-modality lesion detection.
  • Conduct market, product-fit, and competitive analyses, and develop business cases to inform portfolio growth and prioritization.
  • Define integration architectures and product standards for ingesting, validating, and displaying third-party AI models and lesion-detection results within the Rapid Enterprise Platform.
  • Build and evaluate working prototypes using modern AI design and coding tools, and test concepts with clinicians to inform engineering decisions.
  • Write detailed epics, user stories, quantitative acceptance criteria, error states, and risk controls that are traceable and verifiable for regulatory and engineering execution.
  • Observe and understand clinical workflows, translating pain points into clear product problem statements.
  • Work with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, and Quality teams within the design-control process, including risk management, clinical validation, and clinical evaluation reporting.
  • Define AI model evaluation benchmarks, target sensitivity and specificity profiles, and error-mitigation strategies; design safe UX for potential false positives and false negatives.
  • Partner with Design, AI Science, Engineering, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Product Marketing to develop and support global clinical adoption of neurology products.
