Harvey•San Francisco, CA
•$177,700 - $266,500

About The Position

Harvey is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own important embedded product experiences, starting with the Word Add-In and expanding to other tools used for legal work. The role involves growing adoption of Harvey’s existing product, making its AI agents useful for complex drafting and review, and bringing Harvey to additional surfaces. The Senior Product Manager will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Harvey for Word and other drafting tools, taking customer problems from discovery through launch and iteration. The role focuses on building trusted tools for drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents; improving onboarding, activation, entry points, and repeat usage; and working with Design, Engineering, and AI platform teams to deliver fast, polished, reliable experiences and define quality standards for AI output. The role requires close engagement with lawyers at law firms and in-house teams, using customer insights and usage data to guide product decisions. The Product Manager will also work with adjacent product teams, Product Marketing, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure embedded experiences fit with the broader Harvey product and are successfully introduced to customers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including ownership of a user-facing product used every day, in B2B or B2C.
  • A track record of building user habits, including explaining how a new workflow was adopted, what made it stick, and what changed when users behaved unexpectedly.
  • Strong product and design judgment, a high bar for craft, and the ability to explain why one interaction is better than another.
  • Experience owning adoption or engagement outcomes and using customer insight and data to shape strategy.
  • Experience scaling an established product and launching something new.
  • High agency in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, with the ability to build conviction quickly and act on it.
  • Clear, structured communication and the ability to influence Engineering, Design, Go-to-Market teams, and executives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building AI-powered products, including defining and measuring AI output quality.
  • Startup or 0-to-1 experience, ideally at a high-growth technology company.
  • Experience building document editing, productivity, or collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Harvey for Word and other drafting tools, taking problems from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Build purpose-designed tools for drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and finalizing documents that lawyers trust enough to send.
  • Improve onboarding, activation, entry points, and repeat usage to grow daily adoption.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, and AI platform teams to make the experience fast, polished, and reliable, and define what good AI output looks like in a document.
  • Spend meaningful time with lawyers at law firms and in-house teams, and use customer insights and usage data to make product decisions.
  • Partner with adjacent product teams, Product Marketing, and Go-to-Market teams so Harvey for Word fits naturally with the broader product and is well received by customers.
