Product Experiences Lead

Meta•New York, NY
•$145,000 - $205,000

About The Position

Meta is seeking an experienced, hands-on individual contributor to own the development and delivery of product experiences across Reality Labs hardware, Meta’s Family of Apps, and AI. The program delivers more than 100,000 product experiences each year, including tentpole events such as Connect, CES, and Cannes Lions, as well as executive briefings, VIP activations, and retail experiences. The role reports to the Head of Product Experiences. Approximately two-thirds of the work involves leading implementation across events, activations, and demos, while the remaining third focuses on the systems that help the program scale, including training, measurement, and insights. The role combines on-the-ground event leadership with systems and process design. The lead owns end-to-end delivery for selected global programs, from scoping and planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up. They translate product priorities and audience goals into experience plans, including demo flows, stations, staffing, hardware and prototype readiness, and run of show. They also lead operational workstreams and cross-functional coordination, manage agencies and vendors, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership. A major part of the role is building and improving scalable operational systems. This includes training and readiness for a global workforce of more than 200 Product Experience Specialists, consistent measurement and post-event reporting, improved intake and prioritization workflows, and disciplined debriefs. The role is expected to redesign workflows with AI as a foundation, including AI-assisted script drafting, roster intelligence, and automated post-event reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, or experiential/event production, ideally in consumer technology or hardware.
  • Track record of leading high-profile initiatives from concept through on-site execution.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling operational systems—such as training and certification programs, intake and prioritization workflows, measurement frameworks, or reporting—that measurably improved quality, speed, or efficiency.
  • Experience directing distributed teams, agencies, and vendors across multiple regions.
  • Experience influencing senior cross-functional partners and communicating to executive audiences.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered or automated workflows that changed how a team operates.
  • Ability to travel 25–30%, including for on-site event leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
  • Experience in a strategy and operations (BizOps) role at a technology or consumer company, or as a management consultant, with a track record of structuring ambiguous problems and turning recommendations into operating changes.
  • Experience designing AI-powered or automated workflows specifically for experiential or event operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.
  • Experience defining metrics and turning data into program changes.
  • Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt and context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience managing prototype hardware and technical demo flows with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Meta’s product ecosystem, including AI glasses, Meta VR, and Meta AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of selected Global Product Experiences programs, from scoping and planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up.
  • Translate product priorities and audience goals into demo footprints, flows, stations, staffing plans, hardware and prototype readiness, and run of show.
  • Serve as site lead on high-profile programs, directing Product Experience Specialists, contingent workers, and agency and vendor partners.
  • Lead scheduling, logistics, and communications workstreams, aligning cross-functional partners on scope, timelines, and decisions.
  • Manage vendor and agency partners against defined scopes, quality standards, and budgets.
  • Scope and define new programs and strategic projects, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Write experience briefs that align event leads, specialists, content, and physical setup around the audience and product story.
  • Design operational frameworks and oversee internal teams, contingent workers, and vendor partners to sustain and scale them.
  • Own training and readiness systems for a global workforce of more than 200 Product Experience Specialists, including audience-segmented demo scripts, certification standards, and a training calendar.
  • Use metrics such as demo quality, satisfaction, consideration, and throughput to produce consistent post-event reporting and turn field insights into changes to scripts, flows, staffing, and product-team input.
  • Optimize intake, prioritization, roster, and reporting workflows, using AI and automation as default approaches.
  • Run a disciplined debrief process that captures learnings from each program and applies them to future programs.
  • Build AI-native operational systems, including AI-assisted script drafting, roster intelligence, and automated post-event reporting.
