Product Experiences Lead

Meta•New York, NY
•$145,000 - $205,000

About The Position

Meta is seeking a senior, hands-on individual contributor to own how product experiences are built and delivered across Reality Labs hardware, Meta’s family of apps, and AI. The role reports to the Head of Product Experiences. Approximately two-thirds of the role is focused on leading implementation across events, activations, executive and VIP demos, and always-on demo programs, from scoping and planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up. The remaining third is focused on building and optimizing scalable program systems, including training, measurement, insights, and operations. The role combines on-the-ground event leadership with systems and process design. It includes translating product priorities and audience goals into experience flows, stations, staffing plans, hardware and prototype readiness, and run of show; coordinating internal and external partners; and developing operational frameworks for a global workforce of more than 200 Product Experience Specialists. The position also calls for building AI-native operational workflows, such as AI-assisted script drafting, intelligent rostering, and automated post-event reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, or experiential/event production; consumer technology or hardware experience is ideal.
  • Track record leading high-profile initiatives from concept through on-site execution.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling operational systems—such as training and certification programs, intake and prioritization workflows, measurement frameworks, or reporting—that measurably improved quality, speed, or efficiency.
  • Experience directing distributed teams, agencies, and vendors across multiple regions.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional partners and communicating with executive audiences.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered or automated workflows that change how a team operates.
  • Ability to travel 25–30%, including for on-site event leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and using AI-powered or automated workflows in operations.
  • Experience in a strategy and operations (BizOps) role at a technology or consumer company, or as a management consultant, with a track record of structuring ambiguous problems and turning recommendations into operating changes.
  • Experience managing prototype hardware and technical demo flows with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
  • Experience defining metrics and turning data into program changes.
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with Meta’s product ecosystem, including AI glasses, Meta VR, and Meta AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of selected Global Product Experiences programs, from scoping and planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up.
  • Translate product priorities and audience goals into demo footprints, including flows, stations, staffing plans, hardware and prototype-device readiness, and run of show.
  • Serve as site lead on high-profile programs, directing Product Experience Specialists, contingent workers, and agency and vendor partners on the ground.
  • Lead scheduling, logistics, and communications workstreams, aligning event leads, Product Marketing Managers, Product and Engineering, Creative Technology, and Operations on scope, timelines, and decisions.
  • Manage vendor and agency partners against defined scopes, quality standards, and budgets.
  • Scope and define new programs and strategic projects, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Adapt experiences to their audiences, and write a program experience brief aligning event leads, specialists, content, physical setup, audience, and product story.
  • Design operational frameworks and oversee internal teams, contingent workers, and vendor partners to sustain and scale program systems.
  • Own training and readiness systems for a global workforce of more than 200 Product Experience Specialists, including audience-segmented demo scripts, certification standards, and a training calendar aligned with product launches and event schedules.
  • Define program metrics, including demo quality, satisfaction, consideration, and throughput; lead consistent post-event reporting; and turn field insights into changes to scripts, flows, and staffing, as well as input for Product teams.
  • Build intake, prioritization, roster, and reporting workflows to help the team scale efficiently, using AI and automation as default approaches.
  • Run a disciplined debrief process to capture learnings from each program and apply them to future programs.
  • Redesign operational workflows with AI as their foundation, including AI-assisted script drafting from product briefs, rostering intelligence that matches certified specialists to events, and automated post-event reporting.
  • Travel 25–30%, including for on-site event leadership.
