Expedia•San Jose, CA
•$173,000 - $299,000

About The Position

As a Lead Product Designer on Expedia Group’s AI Platforms, Personalization, Memory, and Signal Capture team, you will help shape personalized travel experiences by connecting traveler signals, preferences, behaviors, memory, and feedback. The role sits at the intersection of product design, personalization, AI and machine learning, and systems thinking. You will make complex technology and data into intuitive experiences that progressively understand travelers and help them feel confident in those experiences, including when little information is initially available about them. You will own meaningful parts of the personalization experience from exploration through product delivery, working across product surfaces and the underlying technology. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, Pricing, and Design to explore memory, signal capture, personalization models, and cold-start experiences. The work includes prototyping and experimentation, carrying promising concepts toward products, setting a high standard for interaction and visual craft, communicating design rationale and evidence, and sharing patterns that help other teams apply personalization across the traveler journey. The position is available in Austin, Seattle, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. The listed total cash range is $173,000–$242,500 in Austin and Seattle, with potential pay up to $277,000; in San Jose, the range is $187,000–$261,500, with potential pay up to $299,000. Starting pay varies based on factors including location, budget, knowledge, skills, and experience.
