Senior Product Manager

About The Position

Clipboard is hiring Senior Product Managers to own core domains of its healthcare staffing marketplace, such as pricing, matching, reliability, and facility onboarding. The role involves managing a domain where the right decisions change as the marketplace evolves, using a strong customer- and data-informed mental model to guide prioritization. Product Managers work with an Applied Science team responsible for quantitative infrastructure, including pricing algorithms, causal models, and experiment frameworks. The position requires regular collaboration and written communication. The Product Manager documents and shares a mental model, provides monthly check-ins, and gives engineers and leadership enough visibility to make autonomous decisions and evaluate priorities. The role is based in a remote-first company but requires working two to three days per week from either the New York City or San Francisco office.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of product management experience.
  • Ability to query data using SQL or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience shipping meaningful features on a small, fast-moving team.
  • Clear and frequent writing.
  • Ability to work two to three days per week from either the New York City or San Francisco office.

Nice To Haves

  • Product management experience in marketplaces is preferred.
  • Background in marketplace product, operations research, or operating roles at fast-scaling startups is a strong signal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a domain mental model grounded in customer conversations, support tickets, Salesforce, and company data.
  • Identify metrics that show whether the product is serving its customers well, and propose suitable proxies with their limitations when the right metrics do not exist.
  • Steward domain improvements through research, experiments, core-flow changes, and technical investments.
  • Make prioritization decisions that compound over time.
  • Document and share the domain mental model, monthly check-ins, and other updates to provide visibility to engineers and leadership.
  • Work alongside the Applied Science team on domains that depend on its quantitative infrastructure.
