Sr Mgr-Digital Product Mgmt

American Express•New York, NY

About The Position

The Senior Product Manager will help shape the future of the American Express Developer Experience and Developer Portal, a strategic platform for discovering, understanding, testing, integrating with, and consuming American Express digital and API capabilities. The role spans product strategy, developer experience, APIs, identity and authentication, analytics, customer experience, and emerging AI technologies. It calls for a product leader who can work across customer and technical domains, understand developer journeys, identify customer and business problems, use data to develop insights, and turn those insights into a clear product strategy and roadmap. The role does not require software engineering experience, but does require enough technical depth to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Architecture teams on APIs, authentication, security, platform capabilities, and AI-enabled experiences. The Senior Product Manager will own key parts of the developer journey, from discovery and evaluation through testing, integration, onboarding, and ongoing product use. They will apply customer feedback, analytics, research, and operational insights to identify opportunities, set priorities, and track measurable outcomes. They will also help establish scalable platform patterns and shape the evolution of AI-enabled developer experiences, including how intelligent agents may discover and interact with APIs. Success means making the developer ecosystem progressively easier to discover, understand, integrate with, and use. The role will help reduce friction between developer intent and customer and business value while building a secure, measurable, scalable, and increasingly intelligent Developer Experience.
