About The Position

Oscar is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead product development for Oscar Virtual Care (OVC). The role focuses on improving how members access care and how clinicians deliver it, spanning the experience before, during, and after a visit—from intake and scheduling to clinical documentation, treatment, and follow-up. The Senior Product Manager will work with clinical and business partners to identify where technology can improve access to virtual care and health assessments, support effective clinical workflows, and reduce administrative work for care teams. The role turns ambiguous problems into a clear product direction, aligns partners on priorities, and collaborates with engineering, design, and data science to deliver and measure results. This position reports to a Director, Product Management. It is based in Oscar’s New York City office and follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week. Thursdays are required in-office for team meetings and events; the other two office days are flexible.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, designers, operations experts, and others in a Product Management or Product Management-adjacent role.
  • At least 4 years of experience driving rigorous prioritization processes.
  • At least 4 years of experience with technology systems and understanding basic technology infrastructure, including backend services, database relationships, and database tools such as SQL.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives.
  • At least 2 years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps toward solutions, and successfully executing against those roadmaps.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience building clinician-facing experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Virtual Care, prioritizing investments based on expected impact on affordability, clinical outcomes, member experience, and operating efficiency.
  • Lead discovery with members, clinicians, and operations teams, combining user research and data analysis to identify problems, challenge assumptions, and build business cases for product investments.
  • Improve the member journey from finding and accessing care through the visit and follow-up, reducing friction in intake and scheduling, improving visit completion, and helping care teams share context and coordinate next steps.
  • Build tools that help clinicians deliver high-quality care efficiently, including reviewing medical history, documenting encounters, addressing care gaps, and ordering appropriate tests and treatments.
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI and automation to reduce administrative work while maintaining clinical quality.
  • Define success metrics and measure the clinical, financial, and operational impact of product changes; use findings to refine priorities and improve the experience after launch.
  • Lead alignment across clinical, operations, engineering, design, and data science partners; bring clear recommendations, work through competing needs and tradeoffs, and establish decisions that move work forward.
  • Own complex initiatives from problem definition through delivery, writing clear requirements, managing dependencies and risks, and resolving issues across teams with Senior Product Manager-level autonomy.
  • Strengthen the talent on Oscar’s product team by mentoring more junior team members.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
