About The Position

As Senior Product Manager for the Commerce Platform, you will own product direction for billing systems and purchase flows that power paid products across Grok, X, Grok Bot, and Cursor. This is a technical product role requiring hands-on familiarity with the systems and the ability to contribute code, with the primary focus on product management for a large-scale billing system. You will build, maintain, and triage issues across highly scaled billing infrastructure, driving revenue growth and shaping systems that serve hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

At least 5 years of product management experience on large-scale consumer applications.

Nice To Haves

Deep product management experience building large-scale, high-stakes systems; experience in monetization, subscriptions, fintech, billing, payments, or transactional platforms is preferred.
Technical depth to read and write production code and hold architecture discussions with engineers.
Strong track record shipping and operating complex backend-heavy products for consumer applications at scale.
Passion for revenue-generating products and creating exceptional user experiences.
Hands-on experience with Apple App Store and Google Play in-app billing and Stripe.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Prior experience as a software engineer.
Familiarity with distributed systems, global payments infrastructure, or A/B testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Own the product roadmap for the commerce platform billing system across Grok, X, Grok Bot, and Cursor.
Define requirements and drive delivery for purchase flows, including checkout, paywalls, upsell, and promotional offers.
Lead triage of billing issues at scale; set priorities, coordinate fixes with engineering, and close the loop with support and finance.
Drive unification of the subscription system across apps and integration of SpaceXAI payments into the Starlink payment network.
Manage product requirements across payment rails, including Apple App Store, Google Play, and Stripe.
Contribute code where it speeds up delivery, including prototypes, tooling, data analysis, and small fixes.
Define and track billing health and revenue metrics such as payment success rate, involuntary churn, and conversion.
Partner with legal, tax, and compliance teams on market-specific billing methods and compliance requirements to accelerate global expansion.
