About The Position

Toast is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead lending efforts within its Embedded Finance team. The role focuses on identifying, prioritizing, and building financial products and features that help restaurant owners access funding to start, run, or grow their businesses, expanding and strengthening products such as Toast Capital and Easy Pay.

The Senior Product Manager will own the Toast Capital product roadmap, work directly with restaurant customers to gather feedback, and collaborate across Toast—including Credit, Capital Markets, Legal & Compliance, Data Science/AI, Marketing, Operations, Payments, and Finance. The role also involves working with external bank and funding partners and vendors. The position spans product strategy and delivery, from ideation and business-case development through design, development, launch, and post-launch measurement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product management experience, with a track record of driving strategy, execution, and impact for B2B products.
• Passion for financial-services innovation and a desire to transform the restaurant and hospitality industry.
• Experience managing products from early inception through measurable post-launch success.
• Strong execution skills and a record of delivering with speed and quality.
• Ability to design innovative financial products, experiment to deliver personalized user experiences, drive risk-model improvements, build efficient risk and operations tooling, and develop scalable platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate roadmaps, tradeoffs, and technical solutions to varied stakeholders.
• High emotional intelligence and skill in building and maintaining relationships with engineering and design teams.
• Ability to turn data into actionable insights and customer outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence across teams and drive alignment in ambiguous, high-impact spaces.
• Comfort using data analysis tools such as SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Toast Capital, Toast’s flagship lending product.
• Interface directly with restaurant customers to gather feedback and inform product opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product domains on ideation, design, development, launch, and support of new and existing products.
• Engage with external bank partners, funding partners, and vendors.
• Create and present business cases and business models for new product investments, and measure the success of product launches.
• Write technical and non-technical user stories and define requirements, workflows, and wireframes with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and other teams.
• Manage the backlog of an established engineering team, define roadmap requirements, and facilitate agile ceremonies.
• Communicate and collaborate with technical counterparts and business stakeholders to set and meet expectations.
