About The Position

The Senior Product Manager will join Sun King’s Digitization and Automation team to design, develop, and implement intelligent, technology-enabled solutions to business problems. The role calls for an affinity for technology and automation, curiosity about product advancement, and strong communication skills when working with the in-house software development team.

The position owns product strategy and delivery across the full lifecycle, from discovery and design through development, go-to-market, and sustained launches. It includes defining and prioritizing product roadmaps, mentoring product team members, partnering closely with engineering and data teams, coordinating stakeholders across functions and markets, and tracking product performance using data. The role is remote in India and involves travel approximately 10%–20% of the time to Sun King markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• At least 7 years of product management experience working on complex workflows.
• Product management experience with Android applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prioritize, and implement product roadmaps, typically covering 6–12 months, based on user insights, field learnings, stakeholder feedback, and business return on investment.
• Prioritize initiatives that produce measurable revenue growth or cost reduction, influence senior leadership on high-impact product investments, and make explicit trade-offs based on business impact, engineering capacity, and operational readiness.
• Mentor product team members by setting priorities, removing blockers, and applying product management practices and frameworks.
• Set high standards for product documentation, prioritization, and execution discipline.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, go-to-market, and sustained launches.
• Define product requirements, including PRDs, workflow diagrams, edge cases, and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Deliver high-quality releases on time and within defined turnaround times; own release planning, rollout sequencing, and adoption tracking across countries and teams.
• Ensure launches have clear success metrics, operational readiness, and rollback plans.
• Partner with engineering teams on system design, APIs, and data models; lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and scope control.
• Define testing strategies focused on business-critical flows, failure modes, and realistic user behavior.
• Use SQL and dashboards to validate product usage, data quality, and business impact after launch.
• Identify process issues, user pain points, and competitive threats; investigate root causes of process breakdowns, revenue leakage, fraud risk, and poor customer experience.
• Translate observations into concrete problem statements and challenge solutions that are unlikely to work at scale in the field.
• Act as the single-threaded owner across Engineering, Operations, Sales, Risk, Programs, Call Center, Data, and other stakeholders, aligning scope, timelines, rollout plans, and success metrics.
• Escalate decisively when trade-offs are needed between speed, quality, and scope.
• Define and track KPIs, use data to iterate on product performance, and drive growth.
• Travel approximately 10%–20% of the time to Sun King markets, including India, Kenya, Myanmar, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia.
