About The Position

The Ride Platform is seeking an analytical, scrappy, growth-focused Senior Product Manager to own and optimize Outdoorsy’s core RV rental marketplace. The role’s North Star metric is Departed Revenue. It focuses on optimization, high-velocity experimentation, incremental improvements, two-sided marketplace dynamics, reducing funnel friction, improving liquidity, and fine-tuning unit economics. This is a builder-operator role combining strategic ownership with hands-on technical work. The Senior Product Manager will use AI development tools such as Claude Design and Claude Code to prototype, iterate, test, and deploy changes when appropriate. The role owns marketplace strategy and execution, including experimentation, conversion, marketplace health, revenue integrity, trust, risk, and platform expansion.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of Product Management experience.
  • At least 2–3 years in a leadership role overseeing a two-sided peer-to-peer marketplace.
  • Proven record of driving significant revenue growth through experimentation, growth loops, and micro-optimizations.
  • Exceptional analytical ability to break complex metrics into actionable sub-components.
  • Comfort using modern AI tools such as Claude Design, Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub to prototype, mock up designs, and submit pull requests or code changes.
  • Strong understanding of triggering, lifecycle messaging, and behavioral nudges that influence buyer and seller actions.
  • Experience with marketplace risk, loss ratios, insurance attach rates, or impacts from algorithmic pricing models.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous incremental improvements that increase overall Departed Revenue.
  • Balance host supply and guest demand through targeted product and lifecycle improvements.
  • Analyze guest and host journeys and remove friction from booking funnels.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude Design to prototype UI/UX changes and Claude Code to implement frontend or lifecycle code updates when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain an experimentation roadmap, prioritize high-impact marketplace work, and participate in the controlled experiments program.
  • Streamline guest and host booking journeys, minimizing drop-off and post-booking friction across supply formats.
  • Balance supply-to-demand ratios across geographies, vehicle tiers, and booking models to optimize yield and fill rates.
  • Drive booking value through pricing, add-ons, and promotional safeguard policies while protecting margin integrity.
  • Work with risk and cross-functional partners to optimize marketplace policies, manage loss ratios, and deepen insurance and fintech integrations.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $175,000–$205,000, depending on experience.
  • Opportunity to earn equity compensation.
  • 100% company-paid medical premiums for employees.
