About The Position

The Senior Product Expert Finance SAP Americas is a subject matter expert for SAP FICO functional modules. The role provides deep functional and/or technical expertise in the Finance domain and is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying SAP Finance and Controlling solutions. The expert gathers and clarifies business requirements, defines stories, guides execution, and provides technical guidance and support to team members. The role implements SAP template solutions to meet business goals, manages process design and improvement with process owners and SAP specialists, and supports global business objectives through continuous improvement. It also collaborates with Product Managers on technical feasibility, defines integration tests, and plans system demonstrations and testing. The position is remote and lists a salary range of $120,000–$150,000.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) experience.
Experience with OpenText VIM, including end-to-end invoice processing, document capture, workflow approvals, exception handling, duplicate invoice prevention, and invoice validation.
Working knowledge of OpenText VIM technical components, including workflow troubleshooting, queue management, document processing, configuration concepts, and collaboration with technical teams on enhancements and issue resolution.
Controlling knowledge covering Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, COPA (Margin Analysis), Allocations and Assessments, and Settlement Processes.
Core Finance knowledge covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Financial Closing, Intercompany Processing, Document Splitting, Parallel Ledgers, and Universal Journal.
At least 8 years of experience implementing SAP products, including S/4HANA.
At least 8 years of hands-on experience configuring SAP FI/CO solutions.
At least 8 years of business and functional requirements analysis experience.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex integrated applications.
Extensive experience as a team member on medium- to large-scale SAP initiatives.
Experience leading key activities or projects involving cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the SAP FICO functional-module subject matter expert for projects.
Elicit business requirements through interviews, process reviews, shadowing, document analysis, workshops, site visits, process descriptions, and task and workflow analysis.
Evaluate information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and gaps, detail high-level information, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze business information needs and SAP functional requirements, and deliver artifacts such as process flows, technical and solution designs, user stories, use cases, and GUI screen and interface designs.
Engage successfully in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Work with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and assess trade-offs among usability, functionality, and performance.
Implement and deploy SAP template solutions for Finance and Controlling, including cross-functional components such as production planning and procurement.
Own and manage process design, documentation, implementation, and improvement with process owners, Super Users, SAP functional specialists, and third parties as part of the SAP CoE.
Initiate continuous improvement activities to improve business information-system efficiency and meet global business objectives.
Work with Product Managers to assess whether product features are technically feasible and sustainable within timelines.
Define functional, performance, security, and compatibility tests for product integration.
Orchestrate and plan system demonstrations and tests.
