About The Position

The Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Expert serves as the primary liaison between Finance business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. Combining deep Finance business experience with hands-on SAP S/4HANA functional expertise, this individual supports, optimizes, and transforms end-to-end Finance processes. The role is a trusted subject matter expert for Finance business processes, SAP solutions, reporting, analytics, data governance, AI-enabled capabilities, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The position is full-time and in person at Hemlock Semiconductor’s facility in Hemlock, Michigan. The role is responsible for HSC’s Finance IT ecosystem, including SAP S/4HANA and integrated applications such as OneStream, and provides leadership for the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of Finance-related capabilities.

Requirements

At least 8 years of hands-on SAP Finance functional experience, including SAP S/4HANA configuration, implementation, enhancement, and support.
At least 5 years of hands-on Finance business experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Costing, Controlling, Treasury, Planning, and Financial Reporting.
Experience configuring SAP organizational structures, master data, business rules, financial controls, workflows, reporting structures, and Finance-related system processes.
Strong understanding of SAP Finance integration with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Plant Maintenance, Logistics, and Sales processes.
Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, conduct process analysis, and translate requirements into functional designs, configuration specifications, and technical deliverables.
Experience with SAP master data governance, transactional data management, testing, change management, release management, and production support.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of SAP Fiori applications, role-based user experiences, embedded analytics, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Experience supporting SAP Security, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Segregation of Duties (SoD), and SAP transport management within an ITIL-controlled environment.
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, Microsoft Copilot, process documentation tools, user training, knowledge transfer, and continuous business process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage the Finance IT ecosystem, including SAP S/4HANA and integrated applications such as OneStream.
Lead solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities.
Configure, maintain, and optimize Finance solutions supporting Accounting, Costing, FP&A, Treasury, Reporting, and related processes.
Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into scalable SAP functional solutions and technical requirements.
Lead Finance master data governance, transactional data management, configuration changes, and system enhancements to improve process effectiveness and data integrity.
Collaborate with SAP technical, development, integration, and security teams, as well as AMS providers, to deliver improvements and resolve complex issues.
Ensure integration between SAP Finance and upstream processes, including Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Plant Maintenance.
Support SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Joule AI, and Microsoft Copilot initiatives that improve productivity, reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
Provide production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, transport coordination, change management, and release support following ITIL best practices.
Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, process flows, work instructions, training materials, and knowledge articles.
Lead or participate in SAP implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and transformation projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Drive continuous process improvement and user adoption.
