About The Position

OpenArt is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape Workspace & Collaboration experiences for its AI creative platform. The role focuses on designing where creators and teams organize, revisit, review, and build on their work. This includes shared workspaces, roles and permissions, review and approval, reusable brand assets, feedback tied to the relevant work, and systems for asset organization, tagging, versions, and context. The designer will create consistent patterns across the product and design interfaces that work for both people and AI agents. The position involves shaping product strategy and working closely with founders and a global engineering team. It is based in the Bay Area and is full-time, on-site or hybrid; visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

Experience changing product structure through systems thinking and explaining the outcomes.
Experience designing workspaces, editors, or spatial tools that people organize, return to, and build on.
Experience shipping collaboration features such as sharing, roles, or review, with an understanding of multiplayer challenges.
Experience designing for both the people who create work and the people who manage or pay for it.
Strong UI craft focused on clarity.
Use of AI in daily design practice, such as prototyping in code, Claude, Figma Make, or similar tools, and informed views on where it helps.
Product mindset and concern for how the overall product works together.
Ability to maintain coherent systems amid fast change and to clarify ambiguous problems.
Collaborative approach, openness to feedback, and strong communication skills.

Experience building a workspace, canvas, or library where people keep and organize their work.
Experience shipping sharing, roles, or review features in a collaborative creative tool and reflecting on lessons learned.
Interest in creators, storytelling, and helping teams make their work feel as alive as an individual's work.

Responsibilities

Design the spaces where creators organize, find, and collaborate on their work.
Design shared workspaces, roles and permissions, review and approval flows, and shared brand assets with feedback connected to the relevant work.
Make team administration and access clear within the product, including who is included, what they can access, and what was created.
Design asset organization, tagging, versioning, and context features to help teams build consistent campaigns from approved work.
Create reusable, consistent product patterns that solve related problems across the interface.
Design interfaces and workflows that work for both users and AI agents.
Shape product strategy and collaborate with founders and engineers.
