About The Position
MaintainX is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape its AI-first product experience. The designer will lead end-to-end design across web and mobile, working with Product Managers, Engineers, and designers to turn complex workflows into intuitive tools for frontline workers. The role focuses on AI-powered experiences for users such as maintenance technicians and facility managers, simplifying their workflows without adding complexity. The designer will translate ambiguous AI problem spaces into clear, testable solutions; contribute to scalable, reusable design systems; present and explain design decisions; incorporate stakeholder feedback; and promote high-quality work throughout the product lifecycle. They will also use AI tools in their own design process to accelerate work and improve output quality. MaintainX is a mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams and is part of Autodesk Operations Solutions. Its mission is to keep the physical world running by providing useful tools to the people who maintain it.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing AI-powered features such as natural language interfaces, agents, and predictive insights for real users.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, including typography, spacing, color, layout, and motion.
- Systems-thinking ability, including recognizing patterns, designing for reuse, and considering how decisions scale across a product.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain design intent, navigate ambiguous product spaces, and influence cross-functional peers.
- Expert-level spoken and written English; the role requires collaboration across teams and presenting work to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for AI-powered product surfaces across web and mobile, from problem framing through high-fidelity delivery.
- Design AI-powered experiences for frontline users, including maintenance technicians and facility managers, simplifying workflows without adding complexity.
- Translate ambiguous, fast-moving AI problem spaces into clear, testable design solutions in partnership with product and engineering.
- Identify patterns, design for reuse, and contribute to the design system, focusing on consistency, scalability, and high craft.
- Present design work with clear rationale, integrate stakeholder feedback, and champion quality across the product lifecycle.
- Use AI tools in the design process to accelerate work and improve output quality.
