About The Position
MaintainX is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape its AI-first product experience. The designer will lead end-to-end work across web and mobile, partnering with product managers, engineers, and designers to turn complex workflows into intuitive tools for frontline workers. The role focuses on AI-powered product surfaces and experiences for users such as maintenance technicians and facility managers, simplifying their workflows without adding complexity. The designer will help translate ambiguous AI problem spaces into clear, testable solutions, contribute to a scalable and consistent design system, and present work with clear rationale while incorporating stakeholder feedback. They will also use AI tools in their own design process to accelerate work and improve output quality. MaintainX is a mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. It became part of Autodesk in August 2026 and joined Autodesk Operations Solutions. The company’s mission is to keep the physical world running by providing tools for the people who maintain factories, fleets, hospitals, and campuses.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing AI-powered features such as natural language interfaces, agents, and predictive insights for real users solving real problems.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, including typography, spacing, color, layout, and motion.
- Systems-thinking ability, including spotting patterns, designing for reuse, and considering how design decisions scale across a product.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design intent, navigate ambiguous product spaces, and influence cross-functional peers.
- Expert-level spoken and written English; the role requires working across multiple teams and presenting work to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for AI-powered product surfaces across web and mobile, from problem framing through high-fidelity delivery.
- Design AI-powered experiences for frontline users, including maintenance technicians and facility managers, making workflows simpler and smarter without adding complexity.
- Translate ambiguous, fast-moving AI problem spaces into clear, testable design solutions in partnership with product and engineering.
- Identify patterns, design for reuse, and contribute to the design system with a focus on consistency, scalability, and craft.
- Present design work with clear rationale, integrate stakeholder feedback, and champion quality across the product lifecycle.
- Use AI tools in the design process to accelerate work and improve the quality of output.
