About The Position
MaintainX, now part of Autodesk, is a mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. The Senior Product Designer will shape MaintainX’s AI-first product experience, leading end-to-end design across web and mobile. The role partners with Product Managers, Engineers, and designers to turn complex workflows into simple, intuitive tools for frontline workers, including maintenance technicians and facility managers. The designer will work across AI-powered product surfaces, translating ambiguous and fast-moving problem spaces into clear, testable solutions. The role also contributes to the design system, presents and explains design work, incorporates stakeholder feedback, and champions quality throughout the product lifecycle. MaintainX’s mission is to help keep the physical world running by providing useful tools to the people who maintain factories, fleets, hospitals, and campuses.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing AI-powered features, such as natural language interfaces, agents, and predictive insights, for real users solving real problems.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, including attention to typography, spacing, color, layout, and motion.
- Systems-thinking ability, including recognizing patterns, designing for reuse, and considering how decisions scale across a product.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain design intent, navigate ambiguous product spaces, and influence cross-functional peers.
- Expert-level spoken and written English; the role requires working across multiple teams and presenting to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for AI-powered product surfaces across web and mobile, from problem framing through high-fidelity delivery.
- Design AI-powered experiences for frontline users, simplifying workflows without adding complexity.
- Translate ambiguous, fast-moving AI problem spaces into clear, testable design solutions in partnership with product and engineering.
- Identify patterns, design for reuse, and contribute to the design system with attention to consistency, scalability, and craft.
- Present design work with clear rationale, integrate stakeholder feedback, and champion quality across the product lifecycle.
- Use AI tools in the design process to accelerate work and improve output quality.
