About the position
Amplitude is seeking a Product Analyst to join their team and work closely with the Product Leadership Team and cross-functional partners. The role involves conducting deep dive analyses, driving strategic metrics processes, and acting as a data-driven thought partner to inform key product decisions. The Product Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring consistency in internal instrumentation and taxonomy and developing long-term maintenance plans. The ideal candidate should have experience in product analytics, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep dive analyses into product metrics and focus areas to surface actionable insights
- Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategic metrics processes
- Act as a data-driven thought partner to Product Managers and Product Leadership team
- Identify insights and opportunities through exploratory analysis, including assessing trends, cohorts, funnels, and user flows
- Drive consistency within internal instrumentation and taxonomy to ensure proper data foundations and tracking
- Leverage Data Management tools within Amplitude to develop and enforce best-in-class standards and governance plans for long-term maintenance of internal product taxonomy
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product analytics, conducting quantitative analysis on large datasets, or an equivalent analytical role
- Well versed in SQL, Python and other languages are nice to have
- Experience working on optimizing and building PLG lifecycle metrics
- Deeply analytical with a strong product intuition
- Ability to tell stories through data that can drive multiple stakeholders to decisions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, but able to make good assumptions when necessary
- Experience developing and managing product taxonomies
- Familiarity with or previous use of Amplitude
