About The Position
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Specialist for an immediate, onsite opportunity in Irving, Texas. This is a contract position lasting 6+ months, with long-term potential. The role supports Enterprise Data workstreams by evaluating processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing practical changes to improve efficiency, governance, and management information. The position requires independent delivery of tangible results within a nine-month engagement.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, data architecture, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional process improvement or operating-model change in enterprise data or technology environments.
- Strong facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Experience with workflow automation, dashboards, reporting, and data governance.
- Ability to work independently and deliver tangible results within a nine-month engagement.
- Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Jira, and Smartsheet.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in retail, consumer, supply chain, or large-scale operational environments.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and platform operations.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize improvement opportunities by understanding current processes, stakeholders, and pain points across Enterprise Data workstreams.
- Identify delays caused by unclear ownership, manual handoffs, and inconsistent standards, and establish a focused improvement backlog.
- Design and implement improved ways of working, including processes for demand management, prioritization, and governance reviews.
- Create playbooks, templates, and process documentation to support adoption of improvements.
- Use automation to reduce manual effort and improve the quality of management information on decisions, risks, and milestones.
- Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, resolve ownership and priority questions, and pilot improvements for broader rollout.
