About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, you’ll design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud services that power our global authentication and authorization systems. You’ll contribute to the technical direction of key projects, write high-quality code, and collaborate closely with engineers across multiple teams to deliver impactful solutions. An IC3 engineer is expected to: Technical Execution: Independently deliver medium-sized features and enhancements. Break down problems into manageable technical tasks. Produce clean, maintainable, and production-ready code. Identify and fix production issues with minimal guidance. Ownership: Own one or more service components. Drive features from design through deployment. Take responsibility for operational health of owned components. Participate in incident response and postmortem activities. Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams. Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly. Participate actively in design and code reviews. Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices. Operational Excellence: Build automation to reduce operational toil. Improve monitoring, alerting, and service reliability. Participate in on-call rotations and production support. Continuously improve service availability and performance. Success Indicators: A successful IC3 engineer consistently: Delivers high-quality features on schedule. Demonstrates ownership of production services. Writes reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code. Makes sound technical decisions with limited supervision. Resolves production issues efficiently. Contributes positively to team engineering culture. Earns trust through technical competence and execution.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
  • Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Experience operating production cloud services.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing).
  • Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
