Senior Pharmacy Technician Representative - Accredo
About The Position
Accredo, Evernorth’s specialty pharmacy, is hiring a Senior Pharmacy Technician Representative to support pharmacy warehouse operations. This is a non-patient-facing, non-clinical role focused on completing prescription orders in a controlled warehouse environment. The position involves training new and existing employees, correcting errors, and participating in production in compliance with pharmacy and quality standards to support safe and timely delivery. The position is on-site at 3000 Ericsson Dr., Warrendale, PA. Schedule options are Monday through Friday, either five 8-hour shifts with a rotation between two weeks of 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and one week of 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m., or four 10-hour shifts from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. with rotating days off.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician–Trainee registration.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong dependability.
- Computer skills in MS Office, including strong Excel skills.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for lengthy periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with fingers, hands, and arms.
- Ability to adapt within a changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and email communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
Nice To Haves
- Secondary education preferred.
- Experience in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred.
- Experience in training roles preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Provide error coaching and direction to pharmacy technicians.
- Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts within and outside the department.
- Support staffing of pharmacy technician functions.
- Train Order Packers and Pharmacy Technicians in picking, packing, staging, and other aspects of the role using training guides.
- Assist lead technicians in managing pharmacy workflow by adjusting staffing assignments.
