This role is responsible for owning end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple business entities using Workday Payroll and Time & Attendance. The Senior Payroll Accountant will validate time entries, follow up on missing punches, and partner with managers to ensure accurate time reporting before each pay cycle. They will audit costing allocations, pay inputs, PTO payouts, bonuses, and car allowances for accuracy. This role will also reconcile settlement reports, confirm fund disbursements, and resolve journal discrepancies. Additionally, the Senior Payroll Accountant will process garnishment orders, manage returned ACH payments, and respond to tax rate notices. They will register new state tax IDs and coordinate tax code setup in Workday as the organization grows into new states. Running out-of-cycle payrolls and payroll reversals will also be part of the responsibilities. The role includes leading annual W-2 configuration, auditing, and distribution, as well as supporting Non-Discrimination Testing and Form 5500 / 401(k) audit processes. The Senior Payroll Accountant will serve as a trusted resource for payroll-related questions from employees and managers.
