About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group, is hiring a Senior Parts Sales Specialist. The position assists customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in obtaining required parts and supplies. It is also accountable for achieving monthly sales and gross profit forecasts and soliciting parts sales.

This is designated as a safety-sensitive position. The job involves safety practices related to company equipment and vehicles, and working under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a threat to health or safety.

Requirements

• Five years of heavy-duty truck parts-related work experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers, outside salespersons, and technicians to fill parts requirements with minimal supervision or assistance.
• Prepare invoices for over-the-counter sales and bill parts to repair orders issued to the shops.
• Assist with maintaining stock levels, receiving and shipping parts, and issuing local purchase orders.
• Maintain favorable customer relationships by addressing needs and issues promptly and escalating issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Assist other Parts personnel with sourcing or locating complex parts requests and finding alternatives.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
• Enter lost sales into the inventory system to support proper inventory items and levels.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, respond to safety suggestions, and seek assistance when necessary.
• Ensure proper safety, care, and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment, and immediately report damage to company equipment or property to a supervisor.
• Assist with inventory management activities as directed by a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
