About The Position

The Senior Outreach Program Coordinator (Intake Specialist) supports participant safety, access to appropriate services, and program quality for the Veteran Spouse Network (VSN). The role reviews and monitors intake and screening forms to identify participant needs and potential risks, determine whether needs exceed the scope of peer programming, and connect participants with additional support or resources. The coordinator follows up with participants who screen high for risk or have complex needs, conducts further assessments as appropriate, and provides timely referrals to community-based, clinical, or crisis-support resources. The position also supports peer groups, trainings, and other programming involving sensitive topics, helping promote participant well-being and adherence to suicide-prevention and trauma-informed practices. This grant-funded position is expected to continue through October 31, 2027, with reassignment based on performance, progress toward research goals, and continuation of funding. Hybrid or remote work is possible within Texas. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, flexible between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
